Vilitra 60 is an oral drug that is used to treat impotence or erectile dysfunction, where a man can not attain or maintain an erection. An erection is achieved when there is an engorgement of blood in the penis. Upon sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is produced and released which then activates the enzyme called guanylate cyclase to produce cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). cGMP is responsible for the relaxation of blood vessels, allowing blood flow to the penis, leading to an erection.
Vilitra 60 contains 60mg of the active ingredient Vardenafil which is a phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor. This drug works by inhibiting the action of the enzyme phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) in destroying cGMP. As long as cGMP is available in the penis, the engorgement of blood in the penis lasts long.
Along with sexual stimulation, Vilitra can help a man get and maintain an erection needed for a sexual intercourse.
Vilitra is manufactured by Centurion Laboratories Ltd.
Men with known allergy to the active ingredient Vardenafil and all inactive ingredients of the tablet must not take Vilitra.
